WASHINGTON (AP) — The FBI’s top counterterrorism official harbors lots of concerns: weapons of mass destruction, undetected homegrown terrorists and the possibility that old-fashioned mobsters will team up with al-Qaida for the right price.

Though there is no direct evidence yet of organized crime collaborating with terrorists, the first hints of a connection surfaced in a recent undercover FBI operation. Agents stopped a man with alleged mob ties from selling missiles to an informant posing as a terrorist middleman.

Google Earth for intelligent video surveillance

Guardian Solutions, a Florida-based video surveillance solution provider, has developed a new software product that uses Google Earth to display 3D models of video surveillances intelligence.

This new product, GView ™, is aimed to provide the mass market an effective tool to gain the benefits of situation awareness — e.g.,stopping vandalism and defeating malicious activities such as sabotage and terrorism.

While I was digging for GView screenshots, I found few interesting clips of the company’s video surveillance technology.

Zambia: Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo is excommunicated from the Roman Catholic Church

Emmanuel Milingo (born 13 June 1930 in Zambia) is a Roman Catholic archbishop and exorcist. A native of Africa, he was the Bishop for the Archdiocese of Lusaka for 14 years until he became embroiled in controversy.

He has been an advocate for clerical marriage within the Roman Catholic Church and was blessed in marriage by Sun Myung Moon in 2001. (more…)

Is there a true religion?

If the discussion of a true religion is to be meaningful, it must have an objective starting point. In a sense it must parallel the scientific method. We cannot start with a given factor. The starting point must be one that all people can have and assume. It cannot be from the standpoint of a particular holy book. It is useless for the Christian to quote the Bible to a Muslim, or a Buddhist when one or both reject the Bible as authoritative. If we are to deal with the question of a true religion we have to begin before the books are used. We cannot start with the presupposition that one religion is better than another. Trust

1. Trust is a two way street; you get it if you give it. For example: if you want your parents to trust you try trusting them with the truth about what is going on in your life, if you want a relationship built on trust you have to trust in the other person as much as you do in yourself.
2. Parents will usually give trust freely until you do something to break it. If this isn’t the case in your family and you really can’t see why your parents don’t trust you just come right out and ask them for an explanation. (more…)
