Toyota conveyed the press to the Fuji Speedway in order to show their latest innovations in terms of safety with the “Integrated Safety Management Concept”. So we found ourselves in a very friendly environment on one of the most prestigious race tracks in Japan and with one thing in mind… pushing the cars to the limit! Toyota was actually so confident about their safety system that we felt like the challenge was to try to crash the cars! Samsung unveiled their lastest phone, the SCH-B570.

Samsung has just unveiled their lastest phone, the SCH-B570. It’s an ultra-complete device with 8GB of memory, largely sufficient for all your music files and even movies, because it has PMP functions and 3D stereo sound (with the possibility to have a 5.1 system). It also offers DMB, GPS, the PIP (Picture in Picture) function, an electronic dictionary and a 2MP camera. The new Iriver S10, why does Apple insist?

While Apple was presenting their new stuff yesterday, I mean their new toys for people in need of an identity, real manufacturers were offering real DAPs. Once again, one of the Korean gods on the market, Iriver, was introducing their S10, with a 1.5” OLED display, and SRS WOW with 30mW (16Ω), for a size of only 42×30x10.8 and a weight of 17.5g. It supports real audio formats such as MP3, WMA, ASF, and OGG, has a FM tuner, and comes with 1 or 2BG storage capacity and a battery life of 8 hours. the new Apple products made me laugh. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our Korean friends who continue to innovate and offer better DAPs than the ones before. (more…)

Shapr’s 16x DL DVD red laser burning

Sharp announced they started production of a red laser diode to burn DL + and – DVDs at a 16x speed. Up until now, burners had a maximum throughput of 250mW, which allowed the burning of single layer DVDs at 16x. With this new red laser burner, Sharp reached a throughput of 350mW, which is required to burn double layer DVDs.
